Miscreant Anthology is a creator-driven collection of writing and art built for work that doesn't fit neatly anywhere else.
This is a space for fiction, poetry, comics, art, illustrations, photography, and hybrid work that wants room to breathe on its own terms. Different forms, tones, and genres aren't just welcome here, they're part of the point. The best anthologies don't flatten everything into sameness. They create friction, contrast, surprise, and discovery.
Miscreant isn't interested in smoothing everything into sameness. It's built to let difference spark against difference. To let beauty sit beside abrasion. To let humor, grief, wonder, menace, tenderness, and strangeness share the same space and make something larger together.
This anthology is being built to hold that kind of work.
Whether you're polished or emerging, seasoned or brand new, what matters most is that your submission feels alive. I want the unexpected. I want the memorable. I want work with voice, presence, and conviction.
If you have something real, something strange, something beautiful, something that refuses the usual boxes, I want to see it.
That's what Miscreant is.
And this is only the beginning.
Miscreant Anthology is a shared stage. Not my book with your work in it. OUR book.
Most literary journals want to publish you. I want to build with you.
Over 100 creators have already said yes. Writers, artists, comic creators, and poets. All building something together. Your work alongside theirs. A crew that showed up.
The real prize is the book itself. Holding it. Seeing your name in it. Being part of a group of people who stopped waiting for someone to give them permission.
This is your door. Walk through it.
GOOD!
I'm looking for the ones the other gatekeepers ignored.
The ones who've been writing in the margins.
The ones with notebooks full of weird stuff they've never shown anyone.
The ones sitting on art because they know where it belongs.
You need permission? Here it is.
You need experience? Forget it.
You only need a voice and the guts to share it.
If it matters to you, it belongs here.

I care if it's yours. I care if it matters to you.

The window is short because the hunger is real. Do not wait.
Projected Publication: Summer 2026
A limited print run of physical copies will be funded through a Kickstarter campaign launching in April. Details coming soon.
Here's what being in this book actually means.
Your work in print. A real book. Your name in the table of contents. That part is certain.
A free digital copy. Every accepted contributor gets the full PDF the day it drops. If you want a physical copy, it's available to you at cost. Printing price plus shipping, nothing more.
Your copyright, always. You grant first publication rights. After the book releases, the work stays yours. Republish it anywhere you like.
A proceeds share. Every accepted piece earns a share of net proceeds. Get multiple pieces in, you get multiple shares. This is indie publishing with 100+ creators in the pool, so the real profit is being in the book with an amazing crew of diverse talent. And that's kind of the whole point.
A community of 100+. Writers, artists, comic creators, and poets. All kinds of weird. All kinds of real. People who stopped waiting for a bigger stage and just built one. That's who you're walking in with.
Science Fiction. Fantasy. Horror. Romance. Mystery. Thriller. Slice of Life. Memoir. Autofiction. Humor. Satire. Experimental. Hybrid. Literary Fiction. Weird Fiction. Noir. Psychological. Absurdist. Magical Realism. Speculative Fiction. Everything.

The $5 helps cover promoting and printing the first batch of books for readers. Every dollar goes directly into production to get copies into hands.
Want to contribute more? You can. Every bit helps fund the initial print run.
Can't pay? Check the waiver box on the form. Zero questions asked.
The fee exists to support the project. This anthology exists to share your work, not take your lunch money.
If accepted, you can choose to waive your proceeds share. Your portion goes into The Miscreant Anthology Fund, which pays for future production. This is optional for anyone who wants to help keep the door open for the next round of creators.
